Founded in 2004 by principal architect Dawood Al-Qattan the firm registered as an official engineering office of the state of Kuwait in 2009. Since then it has grown to a 13-person firm with international projects and teams of collaborators. All projects in the firm are led by Dawood Al-Qattan.

Building Information Modeling

Al-Qattan was trained in computer science and architecture in the United States. With a longstanding interest in computer engineering in architecture, he has been a leader in bringing technology to the profession in Kuwait. He was the first Kuwaiti to be registered as an Autodesk Revit Professional in 2007. QA was the first firm to purchase and register Revit for commercial use in Kuwait.

Qattan Architects was subsequently the first Kuwaiti firm to use BIM on all of their projects. Our use of Clash detection through a variety of platforms eliminates errors in transfers from one system to the next or one team to the next. Pioneering experience with BIM gives us the expertise to coordinate the required manpower on a given project and to produce clear and coordinated construction documents.
